Technician Post Educational Qualifications
Candidates must fulfil one of the following requirements in order to be considered for the Technician positions:
- Academic Qualification: SSC/10th standard or equivalent with at least 55% marks in Science subjects.
- Additional Training:
- An ITI certificate in the relevant trade.
- OR National/State Trade Certificate in the specific trade.
- OR Two years of full-time experience as an apprentice in the relevant trade.
- Experience Alternative: Candidates are also eligible if they have three years of relevant work experience in autonomous bodies, public sector projects, or government organisations.
Age Limit
The upper age limit for general category candidates applying for the Technician (1) posts is 28 years. However, relaxations are provided as per government norms to ensure inclusivity. Candidates in the OBC category are eligible for an age relaxation of up to 31 years, while those from the SC/ST categories can avail relaxation of up to 33 years. Additionally, PwBD are granted further relaxations, with a maximum of 15 years, depending on their category. The age is calculated as of the last date for submitting the application, which is 16th February 2025.
