National Talent Scholarship- The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) launched the National Talent Scholarship for Undergraduate Programmer to aid students enrolled in ICAR-accredited colleges who are pursuing a bachelor’s degree in agriculture. Scholarship Details
For undergraduate students pursuing a bachelor’s degree, the NTS provides a scholarship of ₹2,000 per month. When the student is first admitted to the Agricultural University, the scholarship is given for a period of one year. If the student continues to maintain high academic standing and behavior as required by the university, it may be extended for the remainder of the undergraduate degree programmed.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must fulfil the following requirements in order to be eligible for the NTS:
- The candidate must be a student enrolled in an ICAR-accredited agricultural university outside of their home state who is working towards a bachelor’s degree.
- The All India Entrance Examination (AIEE) is required to gain admission to the university.
- The “Strengthening and Development of Higher Agricultural Education in India” programme of the Education Division, ICAR, should provide the university with adequate funding.

Student Responsibilities
Recipients of scholarships have obligations to fulfil in order to remain eligible:
- As attested by the head of the college, university, or institution, uphold merit and good behaviour.
- During the scholarship term, avoid taking part in strikes, agitations, etc., and get permission before taking any time off.
- Avoid getting a job, even a part-time one, and devote yourself to your education full-time.
- Refuse any more scholarships or financial aid while pursuing your undergraduate degree.
- After being admitted, dedicate yourself to the chosen course of study for a minimum of one month.
- Throughout the investigation, refrain from altering the original subject for which the NTS was granted.
National Talent Scholarship Apply Online
The NTS only accepts applications online, and forms can be filled out on the official website at https://icar.nta.ac.in. We will not accept applications in any other format. Candidates must upload scanned copies of their thumb impression, signature, and photo during the online submission process. At the time of submission, no certificates are necessary.
